I believe that he invention of the Internet can totally compete with the invention if the blockchain. Both technological innovations changed peoples’ lives. So I do think this is comparable as ICOs profit off a hype for a new technologies just like .coms did.

However, please note that my article is in no way critical of bitcoin. Only problem I see with bitcoin is constant wash trading (:= price manipulation) which Id like to see stop. But I fully (!) appreciate bitcoin and the blockchain. I think I say so clearly towards the end.
